Preparing for Accuplacer Math Exam

WHO TAKES THE ACCUPLACER MATH PLACEMENT EXAM IN THE MnSCU SYSTEM?  If you attend a Minnesota state college or university (MnSCU system), you will take the Accuplacer math placement exam to see if you qualify to take college level math or if you need to take a developmental math course first.

WHO MIGHT BE EXEMPT FROM TAKING THE ACCUPLACER MATH PLACEMENT EXAM?  If you have taken the ACT or SAT and have a high enough math subtest score, you would not have to take the Accuplacer math exam.  Also, if you have a college/university transcript which includes successful completion of a college level math course, you may not have to take the Accuplacer math exam.

HOW LONG ARE THE ACCUPLACER MATH EXAM SCORES VALID AT MnSCU INSTITUTIONS?  They are valid for two calendar years, inclusive of the current calendar year.
